Finally I experienced my first HDR photography and I‘m quite happy with the result. This technique will be definitely one of my favourites. The photo is taken in Stanley Park, Vancouver showing the view of downtown and Coal Harbour neighbourhood. It was one of the rare sunny days in Vancouver in this season! I mounted the camera on Manfrotto tripod and set it to aperture priority. AEB (auto exposure bracketing) was set to +/-2 EV. I took 7 shots with exposure value ranging from -3 to +3 EV with the increment of -/+1 EV. The photos were blended and tone-mapped in Photomatix Pro.

For those who are not familiar with HDR photography, here is some helpful links.

you should try and work out the tonemapping a bit so you don't get the haloing/embossed effect... that's one of the difficulties abt hdr... cheers.

thanks a bunch man! yeah... I chose the most difficult hdr to start with having sun right in front. It was a good experience though. the challenge was I wanted to reduce the highlight of sun as much as possible. if I let it be lighter I could probably have less haloving. again I appreciate you comment.
